Joe Harper is depressed and suicidal - his girlfriend and acting career have both given up on him at the same time, so he decides to stage his own version of Hamlet in an empty church at Christmas, with the most unlikely cast ever.

With help from his long suffering agent (Joan Collins), Joe sets up some hilarious auditions that result in a cast of six.

In a mad rush against time to get his cast into shape and the lack of no money, no talent and no venue a miracle seems about to take place .... when disaster strikes
